ACTIVITIES

Our staff will keep you updated (with papers and in class) on all activities arranged by il Sillabo and all the events taking place in San Giovanni Valdarno and surroundings

Our standard monthly program includes most of the following activities:

• First day welcome meeting: we introduce our Italian language school to students and, on official starting dates, we offer a small buffet (it's all free!)Guided visits to Firenze ( Florence) and surrounding areas - by train
• Weekend one-day visits to the most interesting towns in Tuscany (such as Pisa, Siena, Arezzo, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano, Cortona or even Umbria cities such as Perugia, Orvieto or Assisi - by train or by school car
• Excursions to the countryside near San Giovanni or to Loro Ciuffenna and Gropina, a small village with a unique example of Roman church – by school car or by bus
• Visits and guided wine tastings and extra virgin olive oil on farms in Chianti and other attractive areas close to San Giovanni – by car
• Afternoon shopping tours to Prada, Dolce e Gabbana, Bottega Veneta (Gucci, Armani etc.) outlets
• Showings of Italian films with critical introduction
• On official starting dates , introduction tour in San Giovanni Valdarno + dinner in local pizzeria or restaurants
• When there are special events in San Giovanni, students can attend with one of our teachers. Such events include street theatre shows, plays, exhibitions, rock, pop or classical concerts, poetry or literature meetings etc.

Students are charged with costs of transfers, museum tickets, meals or wine/olive oil tasting
